Customs duty increase on flat steel products has been postponed

The effective date of the implementation of the customs duty increase in some flat steel products has been postponed to May 1, 2023.

The Presidential Decision on Amending the Import Regime Decision entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

With the decision, taking into account the cuts in flat steel production in the disaster area due to the Kahramanmaras-centered earthquakes that occurred on February 6, the implementation date of the customs duty increase on these products was once again postponed.

Accordingly, the new entry into force of the application, which was previously postponed to April 1, has been determined as May 1, 2023.
