Hunting procedures and principles for the 2021-2022 period have been determined

At the Central Hunting Commission (MAK) for the 2021-2022 Hunting Period, convened under the chairmanship of Fatih Metin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, the procedures and principles regarding hunting across the country were decided. The decisions taken will enter into force after their publication in the Official Gazette.

Under the chairmanship of Fatih Metin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, and with the participation of Ismail Uzmez, General Manager of Nature Conservation and National Parks, MAK for the 2021-2022 Hunting Period met. Members representing public institutions and organizations, universities, non-governmental organizations and hunting organizations were present at the MAK meeting within the scope of the ‘Land Hunting Law No. 4915’. At the meeting, the procedures and principles regarding hunting were determined to be valid throughout the country in the 2021-2022 hunting period.

WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE

Accordingly, at the meeting, hunting periods, the daily limit of game animals to be hunted per hunter, prohibited state and general hunting grounds, species and hunting days, and species banned throughout the province were decided. Among the hunting animals that will be taken under protection, those who are allowed to hunt, the tools, equipment and features that are prohibited to be used and kept in hunting, hunting principles, prohibited hunting methods, hunting for wild boar dragoon hunting, other restrictions and regulations were also discussed and resolved. The decisions taken considering the sustainability of Turkey’s hunting and wildlife resources will come into force after their publication in the Official Gazette.
