Turkiye: Export of $1 billion 361 million from the Western Mediterranean in 6 months

$1 billion 360 million 962 thousand 23 were exported from Antalya, Burdur and Isparta in the 6-month period of the year.

In his written statement, Umit Mirza Cavusoglu, President of the Western Mediterranean Exporters’ Association (BAIB), stated that the most exports in the past 6 months were made by the fresh fruit and vegetable and natural stone-based mines and metals sectors.

Stating that the highest amount of exports from the Western Mediterranean was made to Germany with $101 million 251 thousand 685 in this period, Cavusoglu said, “When we look at the 6-month course of the export figures of the Western Mediterranean, it is observed that it has reached $1 billion 360 million 962 thousand 23 with an increase of 5.46%. It is expected that our export figure will leave behind $1.5 billion in July.”

Products have been sent to 128 countries

Noting that the export from the Western Mediterranean reached $242 million 375 thousand only in June, Cavusoglu said that products were sent to 128 countries.

Cavusoglu stated that the new shining star of the region in exports is the Netherlands.
