Making a statement to the AA correspondent on the subject, Mehmet Hakki Sanal, President of the Air Conditioning Industry Exporters’ Association (ISIB), said that they exported $525.4 million in January as the air-conditioning industry, and that the industry is progressing in a coordinated and efficient manner with all its stakeholders, from marketing to sales, from communication to implementation.

“Our biggest goal is to be the sector with a foreign trade surplus”

Sanal stated that they have determined to be the sector with foreign trade surplus in 2023 as their biggest target. “In line with the reports from the Foreign Trade Intelligence Center we established within our organization and the opinions we received from our exporters, we have planned and implemented more than 30 activities, from foreign trade delegations to fair participations, from procurement committees to overseas education -B2B meetings.

So far, we have participated in 3 fairs abroad in Slovakia, Moscow and Saudi Arabia together with our exporters. In addition, this week, we are organizing a B2B meeting in Israel and a National Participation organization in Senegal.”

Stating that the Kahramanmaras earthquake affected them deeply, Sanal said, “Our producers were united in the earthquake disaster, both with their own resources and with the support they gave as a union within TIM. As the sector, we provide support for the heating needs of earthquake victims, especially with the production and placement of containers, together with our financial assistance.

However, our industry was not affected by this great disaster in terms of production. Since our producers are mostly located in the Marmara, Aegean and Central Anatolian regions, they continue their production.”
