RedMagic’s First Gaming Tablet has a 144Hz IPS Display & 16 Gigs of RAM

In a surprising move, nubia, the gaming brand under ZTE, has recently announced the release of its first-ever gaming tablet, along with two powerful gaming smartphones. While other companies, like Lenovo, have halted the production of gaming phones, nubia is forging ahead, aiming to capture the attention of avid mobile gamers.

The Gaming Tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chipset

One of the standout features of the nubia gaming tablet is its stunning 12.1-inch IPS LCD display. With a resolution of 1600 x 2500 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate, gamers can expect a visually immersive experience. The 240Hz touch sampling rate ensures precise and responsive touch controls, vital for gaming enthusiasts. Although the brightness of the tablet reaches 600 nits, lower than the RedMagic 8S Pro smartphone’s 1300 nits, it is still more than capable of providing vibrant and detailed visuals.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the formidable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Paired with either 12 or 16GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, the tablet delivers impressive performance and ample space for storing gaming data. To prevent overheating during intense gaming sessions, nubia has included their ICE Magic cooling system, ensuring smooth gameplay without any performance hiccups.

While the tablet’s primary focus is gaming, nubia has also equipped it with a 13-megapixel main camera and a secondary 16-megapixel front-facing camera, allowing users to capture their gaming triumphs and share them with friends. Furthermore, a massive 10,000 mAh battery ensures long hours of uninterrupted gaming. The battery supports 80W fast charging, enabling a complete charge in just 55 minutes.

In terms of pricing, nubia’s gaming tablet will be available for pre-order in China starting July 11. The 12/256GB variant will retail at $540, while the 16/512GB model will be priced at $635. To enhance the tablet’s functionality, nubia offers additional accessories for purchase. The Smart Magnetic Keyboard and stylus pen can be acquired for $85 and $55, respectively. While there is no official information regarding the global release of the tablet, nubia has a history of launching its gaming phones in other countries. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect that the tablet will eventually be available worldwide, making it accessible to gaming enthusiasts around the globe.
