Turkiye increased its tractor exports by 91% in the first quarter of the year

Sector representatives increased their tractor exports, which were $302 million 734 thousand in the January-March period last year, to $578 million 296 thousand, increasing by 91% this year.

In the January-March period, $578 million 296 thousand of tractor exports were realized from Turkiye.

According to the compilation made by AA correspondent from the data of Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association, Turkiye’s automotive sector realized foreign sales of $8 billion 618 million 998 thousand in the January-March period.

Tractor exports, one of the sub-groups of the automotive industry, increased by 91% in the first quarter compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching $578 million 296 thousand from $302 million 734 thousand.

275% increase to France in the first place

Sector representatives made the highest export sales to France among 44 countries in the first 3 months. In the January-March period, exports to this country increased by 275% compared to the same months of 2022, from $36 million 150 thousand to $135 million 614 thousand.

Industrialists increased their January-March exports by 36% to Germany, which ranks second, and carried the foreign sales from $55 million 303 thousand to $75 million 366 thousand.

Exports, which were $10 million 170 thousand in the first three months of last year, reached $65 million 322 thousand this year.

Tow trucks were exported to Poland, which ranked fourth, with an increase of 61%, worth $55 million 124 thousand, and to Italy, which ranked fifth, with an increase of 42%, worth $45 million 151 thousand.

Tractors were also exported to Ireland, New Zealand and Greece.

Compared to the same period of 2022, Spain ranks 6th with $40 million 998 thousand and the United Kingdom 7th with $28 million 530 thousand in the January-March period of tractor exports. Slovenia ranks 8th with $17 million 799 thousand, Norway 9th with $15 million 843 thousand and Portugal 10th with $13 million 313 thousand.

In the same period of this year, $6 million 788 thousand were sold to Ireland, where exports were not made in this sector in January-March last year, $2 million 283 thousand to New Zealand, $1 million 273 thousand to Greece.
