Turkiye: Kayseri’s exports increased by 13% and exceeded $361 million

Exports of Kayseri, one of the important industrial cities of Turkiye, increased by 13% and reached $361 million 872 thousand.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) Kayseri Regional Directorate announced the foreign trade statistics for June.

Exports in Kayseri increased by 13% in June 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year and reached $361 million 872 thousand.

In the city, where exports increased by 19% in the first 6 months compared to last year, imports amounted to $155 million 755 thousand in June.

Kayseri Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Chairman of the Board Omer Gulsoy, in his written statement evaluating the export figures, stated that the city broke a record in exports and that the country’s economy will continue to grow and rise under the leadership of exports.

Emphasizing that the achievements in this field should be carried to the future by embellishing them with value-added exports, Gulsoy said, “I heartily congratulate all our exporter members and veteran employees, who are the architects of this painting, for this success they have achieved.”

Gulsoy stated that Kayseri’s exports are more than its imports, thus contributing to the reduction of the foreign trade deficit.

“According to TUIK data, Kayseri’s exports in June 2021 were $320 million 396 thousand, while it was $361 million 872 thousand in June 2022. The increase rate is approximately 13% on a monthly basis compared to last year. On the other hand, it increased by 18.7% compared to May 2022. As Kayseri, our import was $155 million 755 thousand in June. Our province has contributed to the reduction of the foreign trade deficit in this sense. In June 2022, our first export market is Iraq, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Israel, USA, Greece, Romania, Italy and France.”
