In Turkiye, the prices of gasoline and diesel are determined by adding the Special Consumption Tax (OTV) and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) share to the ex-refinery price, excluding VAT.
The ex-refinery price is calculated by monitoring the daily CIF Mediterranean product prices and the daily US dollar exchange rate published in the Mediterranean-Italian market, which results in the ex-refinery ceiling sale price without customs.
