Turkiye: Retail sales volume increased 2% year-on-year

Retail sales volume at constant prices decreased by 0.3% in July compared to the same month last year, but increased by 2% on an annual basis.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the retail sales indices for the month of July.

Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 2.0% in July compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 5.8%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 5.0%, and automotive fuel sales decreased by 10.8%.

Retail sales volume at constant prices decreased by 0.3% compared to the previous month. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 1.0%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) decreased by 1.5%, and automotive fuel sales increased by 1.8%.

Retail turnover at current prices increased by 114.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 109.7%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 97.3%, and automotive fuel sales increased by 176.0%.

Retail turnover at current prices increased by 2.6% compared to the previous month. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 5.9%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 3.3%, and automotive fuel sales decreased by 2.9%.
