Turkiye: Retail sales volume increased 5.5% year on year

Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 5.5% in June compared to the same month of the previous year.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the retail sales indices for June.

Accordingly, the volume of retail sales at constant prices decreased by 0.7% in June compared to the previous month. In this period, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 0.1%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 1.8%, while automotive fuel sales decreased by 9.6%.

Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 5.5% in June compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same period, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 6.4%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 11.4%, while automotive fuel sales decreased by 11.8%.

Retail turnover

Retail turnover at current prices increased by 119.1% in June compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 107.1%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 100.3%, and automotive fuel sales by 203.6%.

Retail turnover increased by 8.4% in June compared to the previous month. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 6.6%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 7.8%, and automotive fuel sales by 12.3%.
