Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Simsek stated that they expect to strengthen the ties between Turkiye and Greece and said, “With our many common points and rich similarities, Turkiye and Greece are ready for a stronger cooperation.”
Minister Simsek shared a post in English regarding the “5th Turkiye-Greece High Level Cooperation Council” on his social media account.
Stating that they attended the 5th Turkiye-Greece High Level Cooperation Council held in Athens, Simsek noted that they were pleased with the kind welcome and hospitality shown by the Greek government.
Simsek pointed out that his visit to Greece was extremely productive and made the following evaluations:
“My talks with the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, were extremely productive on important economic issues. We are grateful for his support in Greece’s EU membership process. With many points in common and rich similarities, Turkiye and Greece are ready for stronger cooperation. We look forward to strengthening ties between Turkiye and Greece.”
