The Services Producer Price Index increased by 15.57% on a monthly basis and by 82.64% on an annual basis in January this year.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), H-PPI, announced the results for January.
Accordingly, H-PPI increased by 15.57% in January compared to the previous month, by 82.64% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 90.32% compared to the 12-month averages.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index increased 81.3% in transportation and storage services, 94.6% in accommodation and food services, and 69.29% in information and communication services, real estate services increased by 78.96%, professional, scientific and technical services increased by 93%, and administrative and support services increased by 84.52%.
Increase in advertising and veterinary index in sub-sectors
When the sub-sectors are analyzed on an annual basis, the lowest increases in the index were 33.38% in water transport services, 53.66% in telecommunications services, and 54.84% in legal and accounting services. On the other hand, advertising and market research services were the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most with 130.22%, veterinary services 113.34%, programming and broadcasting services 112.68%.
When the sub-sectors are analyzed on a monthly basis, programming and broadcasting services are the sub-sectors where the indexes decreased with 4.87% and water transport services with 0.99%. On the other hand, building and landscaping services were determined as 44.95%, employment services 40.55%, architecture and engineering services, technical testing and analysis services 37.83%, as the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most.
