Türkiye aims to increase its bilateral trade volume with Poland to $15 billion in the short term, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said, after trade between the two countries reached a record $12.5 billion in 2025.
Bolat made the remarks following meetings in Warsaw with Poland’s Economy and Finance Minister Andrzej Domański, where the two sides discussed trade, contracting, investment, energy, transportation, logistics, defense, space research and cooperation in third countries.
Trade Volume Exceeds Previous Target
Türkiye and Poland had previously set a bilateral trade target of $10 billion. The target was surpassed in 2025, when total trade reached $12.5 billion, its highest level on record.
“We believe we can raise our bilateral trade volume to $15 billion in the short term,” Bolat said.
The two ministers also discussed Türkiye-EU economic relations and the importance of strengthening the Customs Union. Bolat said closer economic integration would help improve competitiveness and support secure and sustainable supply chains.
Turkish Contractors Complete $10.1 Billion in Projects
Bolat highlighted the strong performance of Turkish construction companies in Poland, particularly in major metro, highway and infrastructure projects.
Turkish international contractors have completed 72 projects worth approximately $10.1 billion in Poland to date, according to Bolat.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for Turkish and Polish companies to cooperate on large-scale projects in third countries.
Investment and Business Cooperation to Deepen
Bolat said Türkiye and Poland agreed to organize a Türkiye-Poland Investment and Business Forum and a Türkiye-Poland Consultation Mechanism meeting in Türkiye during the autumn.
The meetings are expected to provide a platform for expanding investment and trade opportunities and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
Bolat also met with representatives of the Turkish business community operating in Poland, emphasizing their role as a bridge between the two economies.
The two countries intend to build on their growing trade relationship by expanding cooperation across investment, infrastructure, energy, logistics, defense and other strategic sectors.
