The automotive industry was the sector that realized the most exports with $2.7 billion last month. This sector was followed by the chemical substances and products, and the ready-made clothing and apparel sector, respectively.
According to the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) data, the automotive industry, which achieved an export of $2 billion 650 million 907 thousand last month, was followed by the chemical materials and products industry with $2 billion 613 million, and the ready-made clothing and apparel industry with $1 billion 707 million.
Last month, the highest increase in exports was realized in the defense and aviation industry with 54.1%.
In the industrial group, which realized 70.6% of Turkiye’s total exports last month, exports amounted to $15 billion 43 million with a decrease of 4%.
In the aforementioned period, exports were made to $3 billion 38 million with an increase of 7.4% in the agricultural group, which comprised 14.3% of the total exports, and $462 million 522 thousand with a decrease of 0.5% in the mining group, which had a share of 2.2% from the total exports.
Most exports were made to Germany
While exports were made to 217 countries in October, exports to 114 countries increased.
The top 3 countries to which Turkish exporters export the most were Germany with $1.5 billion, the USA with $1.1 billion and the United Kingdom with $1 billion 31 million.
While 38 provinces increased their exports, the provinces with the highest exports in October were Istanbul with $8.3 billion, Kocaeli with $1.5 billion, Bursa with $1.3 billion, Izmir with $1 billion 63 million and Gaziantep with $959 million.
