Stating that Gift Professionals Meet for Export at Souvenir Expo Turkey, Erdal Usta said, “We think that we will see the export effects of the fair held in Istanbul in the summer season of 2022. We believe that a tourist number that will exceed 50 million again can capture a tourist income of around $35 billion. If the souvenir sector can increase its contribution to tourism, this figure will rise even higher. The owners of the companies, which made important international commercial agreements at the fair, also drew attention to the production power of Turkey, which is the most important producer of the Eurasian geography, and its logistics advantage in providing fast delivery, while many places in the world were blocked. Turkey derives 30% of its income from tourism from the sale of souvenirs. The business volume of the sector is $12 billion in total, 4 in the domestic market and 8 in the foreign market. An estimated 50 million tourists are expected to come to our country in 2022 and it is predicted that around $35 million will be generated. Turkey, which has the second-largest bed capacity of Europe with 1.5 million, is located within a 3-hour flight distance to 90 countries, and has railway, road and sea transportation connections with its neighbors. In addition, favorable climatic conditions and 365 days of tourism activity carry our country to the top of the preferred routes in tourism.”

“EXPORTING COMPANIES SURVIVE.”

Ozlem Kirkaya, the designer of the company that produces special design candles, said, “I think fairs always contribute positively to the country and the producers. Let me speak for my own product. We are the manufacturer. One person should come between me and the consumer. When two or three people enter, the price of the product inflates. The consumer cannot keep up with their purchasing power. It is a good thing that producers and consumers meet directly. Exporting companies survive. Therefore, the fact that this fair is international and export-oriented will deserve the added value it produces for both the country’s economy and companies, and it is an opportunity for it to find its value.”
