BIST 100 index increases 0.66% at opening bell
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened on Thursday at 12,026.26, up 0.66% or 79.08 points.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 fell 2.79% to close at 11,947.18 points, with a daily transaction volume of 150.5 billion Turkish liras ($3.07 billion).
As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 49.0350 Turkish liras to the US dollar,55.5805 to the euro, and 65.1415 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,184.35, while Brent crude oil futures traded at $98.09 per barrel.
