BIST 100 index gains over 3 points from previous close
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 2,528.51 points on Thursday,up 0.13%, or 3.32 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index rose 0.93% to 2,525.20 points at Wednesday’s close, with a daily trading volume of 25.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 17.6194 as of 9.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT) from 17.5860 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate went up to 17.9898 from 17.9690, while a British pound traded for 21.0864 Turkish liras, down from 21.3220 at the previous close.
Brent crude oil was down 0.71% to $106.16 per barrel.
