Turkiye’s Hazelnut Exports Surpass $2.19 Billion in 11 Months

In the 2023-2024 export season, Turkiye’s hazelnut exports reached $2.19 billion, marking a significant increase in revenue compared to the previous year.

Turkiye has achieved a remarkable milestone in its hazelnut export sector for the 2023-2024 season, with total exports exceeding $2.19 billion over an 11-month period. According to a statement from the Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters Association, Turkiye exported 284,467 tons of hazelnuts between September 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024, generating $2,190,616,619 in revenue.

This performance represents a substantial increase from the previous season, during which Turkiye exported 283,445 tons of hazelnuts, earning $1,704,862,333. The growth in export revenue highlights Turkiye’s strong position in the global hazelnut market and underscores the sector’s vital contribution to the country’s economy.

The Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters Association emphasized that the positive results reflect both the quality of Turkish hazelnuts and the effectiveness of export strategies. As the season progresses, efforts will continue to expand market reach and enhance export performance.
