Having managed to become the export base of its region, Turkiye reached even the most difficult corners of the world and exported to 229 countries in total.
In the statement made by the Ministry of Commerce, it was reported that the work within the framework of the sustainable export model continues at full speed, taking into account the foreign trade balance.
Pointing out the importance of exporting Turkish products to every corner of the world and increasing market diversity in order for the country to reflect its export potential and to advance towards the goals of the Turkish Century vision, the following statements were used:
“As the Ministry, with the Far Countries Strategy, which we have put forward in order to continue the leap that our country has made in exports, by the end of 2022, it is planned to increase our export range, which is 3 thousand 89 kilometers, above the world average of 4 thousand 744 kilometers. As we move forward with the goal of sending our export products to every corner of the world, we continue to increase the product variety in our exports day by day. Last year, we exported 1232 different products from our country, including high value-added products such as unmanned aerial vehicles and their components, machines for additive production. The number of different products we exported in the first 5 months of 2023 was recorded as 1222.”
Emphasizing that the Ministry is working diligently to increase the share of high technology products with high added value in total exports, as well as product diversity, the following information was shared:
“In this direction, the share of medium-high and high technology products in our total manufacturing industry exports has increased to 36.9% in 2022 and to 40.8% in the January-May period. With the efforts of our Ministry, our exporters have not left an untouched spot in the world, in 2022, they reached even the most difficult corners of the world, from Ceuta to the Cocos Islands, from the Falkland Islands to the Northern Mariana Islands, and exported to 229 countries in total. In the first 5 months of 2023, the number of exported countries is 226.”
There is no province that does not export
In the statement, it is stated that there are no provinces that do not export as of today and that 24 provinces exported over $1 billion in 2022, the following was noted:
“As of the end of 2022, the number of exporting companies has exceeded 114 thousand, and as an indicator of our country’s power in land logistics, the number of export shipments from Turkiye has exceeded 2 million in total in 2022, according to door groups. With our vision of the Century of Turkiye, in order to continue all these achievements we have achieved so far with many new projects and strategies in the coming period, as the Ministry of Commerce, we will carry Turkiye, which has managed to become the export base of its region, among the strongest countries of global exports.”
