UAE: Ajman Steel and Metal Sector Expands as Factory Registrations Rise 28%

New factory registrations grew by 28 percent

According to Mohamed Ali Al Janahi, Acting Director-General of the Ajman Chamber, the count of factories specializing in iron, steel, and metal reached 190 in 2025. Concurrently, the volume of newly affiliated plants surged by 28 percent, underlining the substantial growth within the sector.

He noted that total registrations with the Ajman Chamber for businesses involved in iron, steel, and metal attained a level of 745 members in 2025. This figure reflects a year-on-year increase of roughly 5 percent.

The comments coincided with the debut commercial outbound shipment to the Gulf region by the Ajman-based BelRemaitha Steel Factory. In attendance were Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of Government Communication at Ajman Chamber, Dr. Adel Belremeitha, Founder and Chairman of the facility, and additional management staff.

Al Janahi emphasized the sophisticated production competencies present in Ajman and the UAE within the iron, steel and metal sector. He noted that manufacturing plants utilize cutting-edge, eco-conscious industrial systems and implement superior methods for power and material conservation. According to him, these initiatives bolster environmental preservation, improve the market standing of the industrial realm, and boost output.

Dr. Belremeitha noted that the factory’s output comprises reinforcement bars, alloys, and tubing, stating that the company’s approach centers on foundational principles.These include augmenting regional manufacturing capacity, forming long-term alliances, and refining workflow methods through the use of adcanced machinery.

He further mentioned that the factory intends to create regional logistics hubs, which will facilitate broader market penetration and increase the commercial appeal of its output.
