UAE and Turkiye sign MoUs to boost investment in tourism, agriculture, and industry

Formal ceremony for the agreements took place at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, showcasing unity

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, observed the exchange of multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding between the UAE and Türkiye.

These agreements were exchanged during His Highness the UAE President’s official visit to Türkiye, designed to enhance cooperation and reflecting the two nations’ shared dedication to further developing bilateral relations across a range of sectors.

The agreements and memoranda encompass an agreement on the mutual protection of classified information, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the establishment of a joint consular committee, and an MoU focused on investment in food and agriculture. Additionally, there is an MoU for investment cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, an MoU on investment in tourism and hospitality, and another MoU concerning investment cooperation in the industrial sector. Also, an MoU has been established for cooperation in polar research.

The formal ceremony for the exchange of these agreements took place at the Presidential Palace in Ankara.

From the UAE side, the agreements were exchanged by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, minister of Investment; His Excellency Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei,minister of State for Defence Affairs; and His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, minister of State.

Moreover, on the Turkish side, the agreements were exchanged by His Excellency Yaşar Güler, minister of National Defence; His Excellency Nuh Yılmaz, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu, president of the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye; and His Excellency Mehmet Fatih Kacır, minister of Industry and Technology.
