Uludag statement from Minister of Culture and Tourism Ersoy

Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, who made contacts in Bursa, made important statements about Uludag. Ersoy announced that all facilities in Uludag will be transferred to the Ministry of Tourism with the new year.

Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, who attended the press conference in Bursa, which was chosen as the 2022 Cultural Capital of the Turkish World, made statements about Uludag. When asked about the law regarding the Uludag Area Presidency, Minister Ersoy said, “We will send the draft law to the institution’s opinions in January. There is one more development there. With the change in the tourism incentive law numbered 2634, the way for the facilities affiliated to the Ministry of Forestry to be transferred to the Ministry of Tourism has been cleared. He started to apply for it. All of the touristic facilities that will pass under the authority of our Ministry of Culture and Tourism in January. At the moment, half was in the Ministry of Forestry and the other half in the Ministry of Tourism. The first step towards it is being taken.”

NEW SKI ROUTES SIGNAL

Mentioning a second step regarding Uludag, Minister Ersoy said, “The second step is related to the determination of the field. We conveyed our requests regarding the transfer of the field and we worked on it. There are regions where there are hotels and possible runways. We want those areas. There is no problem in keeping the other parts in the Ministry of Forestry. We want to open an area in a limited area for tourism purposes. An agreement was drawn up for this. We are sending the law to the opinions of the institution as of January. After that, it needs to be followed from a political point of view. As far as I can see, there is a consensus in the city regarding this. The views of all political parties on this issue seem to be positive. Such are the impressions we receive. In a few months, I think that the draft law will be passed as well.”
