Vakifbank started 2022 with a new funding of $250 million

Despite the increasing uncertainty in the global markets, VakifBank, which provided a total of $5.4 billion in resources from international markets in 2021, started 2022 with a new funding of $250 million.

VakifBank General Manager Abdi Serdar Ustunsalih, in his assessment on the subject, said, “We became the bank that brought the most funds to our country from abroad in 2021, with the loans we obtained from syndication, securitization, Eurobond and China Development Bank. Moreover, we provided most of these resources with a sustainable theme. We have always emphasized that we put both our environment and our society at the center of our business in every banking transaction we make and every step we take.”

Ustunsalih concluded his words as follows: “As VakifBank, we continue to bring new funds from abroad to our country, even in an environment where difficulties are at the forefront. During this period, we are happy to have secured a funding of approximately $250 million with a maturity of 1 year through the transactions we carried out under two different structures. Undoubtedly, even in such a global environment, the transactions in question proved to be the most meaningful indicator of the VakifBank brand, its awareness and the trust placed in the Turkish banking sector. We will continue to use these resources, as always, in financing our manufacturing and exporting companies and projects that support employment. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the creditor banks who contributed to the realization of these transactions.”
