Vehicle inspection delay fees are being reorganized

With the new regulation that came into force after its publication in the Official Gazette, the delay fee, which is calculated as 5% of the vehicle inspection fee for each month of delay, will be re-determined in proportion to the monthly domestic producer price index.

According to the statement made by TUVTURK to the AA correspondent, the total delay fee calculated may vary depending on the monthly domestic producer price index rates and the arrival date of the vehicle for inspection.

According to the new regulation, a car owner who has delayed his vehicle inspection for 1 year will pay approximately ₺14.36 instead of ₺205.08 of delay penalty. The delay fee to be paid by a commercial vehicle that does not come for inspection for 5 years will be ₺74.68 instead of ₺1.062.71.

No limit for inspection delay times

Explaining that the new regulation valid until 31 December 2021 is valid for all vehicle types, TUVTURK announced that there is no limit for delay times. Accordingly, vehicles that have not been inspected for 5 or 10 years, such as vehicles whose inspection is delayed by 1 month, can also benefit from the regulation.

On the other hand, vehicle owners must not have Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV), traffic fines or highway transit debt in order to carry out the vehicle inspection process.

With the new regulation, significant discounts were brought not only to vehicle inspection late fees, but also to the delays of other debts in question. Thus, an important opportunity arises for vehicle owners who benefit from the configuration and cannot have their vehicle inspected for a long time due to these debts.

For each vehicle, MTV will be granted a technical inspection permit during the installment payment, provided that at least 10% of the administrative fines and the toll fee are paid.

It has been stated that vehicle inspection service appointments are given free of charge to all vehicle owners via the “www.tuvturk.com.tr” website, the call center with the number “0 850 222 88 88” and e-Devlet.
