Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that the Turkish economy has demonstrated its resilience through sustained growth performance, despite global and regional challenges.

“Economy Has Proven Its Resilience”

Speaking at an official event, Yılmaz emphasized that Türkiye’s economy has repeatedly shown its durability under difficult conditions.

He noted that the country has maintained uninterrupted economic growth for 22 consecutive quarters, highlighting the consistency of its performance.

Growth Above Global Average

Yılmaz pointed out that Türkiye recorded 3.6% economic growth last year, outperforming global growth rates. He added that the size of the economy has reached approximately $1.6 trillion, reflecting its expanding capacity.

Rising Income and Exports

According to Yılmaz:

  • Per capita income has climbed to around $18,000
  • Exports have surged from $36 billion in 2002 to $273 billion in recent years

He described these figures as evidence of Türkiye achieving record levels in national income and exports.

Stability Despite Global Risks

Yılmaz also stressed that, despite geopolitical tensions and regional instability, Türkiye continues to act as a “safe haven and island of stability” in its region.

He underlined the government’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with partner countries and sustaining long-term growth.
