Istanbul – April 17, 2026
Vodafone Turkey has announced that it has achieved the widest 5G coverage across Turkey, positioning itself as a leading player in the country’s next-generation mobile network rollout.
Nationwide Coverage Expansion
The company stated that its 5G infrastructure now reaches more locations than any other operator in Turkey, following extensive investments in network expansion and modernization ahead of the official launch of 5G services.
Turkey officially entered the 5G era in April 2026, with operators rolling out services across all 81 provinces, marking a major step in the country’s digital transformation.
Heavy Investment in Infrastructure
Vodafone Turkey emphasized that it has been preparing for 5G for several years, upgrading base stations, core networks, software systems, and data centers to ensure readiness.
The company also secured significant spectrum resources during the 5G auction, which will support high-speed and low-latency services across its network.
Strategic Advantage in 5G Race
With broader coverage, Vodafone aims to gain a competitive edge over rivals such as Turkcell and Türk Telekom, particularly in delivering faster and more reliable services to both individual and enterprise users.
Industry observers note that coverage will be a key differentiator in the early stages of 5G adoption, alongside pricing, device compatibility, and service quality.
Focus on Digital Transformation
Vodafone highlighted that its 5G rollout will support advanced technologies such as smart cities, autonomous systems, industrial automation, and real-time applications.
The company aims to leverage its global experience—operating 5G networks in multiple countries—to accelerate Turkey’s transition into a more digitally connected economy.
