ISTANBUL – Vodafone Turkey has announced that the real value of its total investments in Türkiye has surpassed 480 billion Turkish lira, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to the country.
Speaking at a press conference held in Istanbul, Vodafone Turkey Chief Executive Officer Engin Aksoy said the company’s investment made as part of the 2025 5G spectrum authorization tender ranked as the third-largest international direct investment in Türkiye this year.
“From the very first day, we have remained strongly focused on creating value for Türkiye. With this approach, the real value of our total investments has now exceeded 480 billion lira,” Aksoy said.

Vodafone announced that, under a strategic infrastructure partnership with Türksat, it will begin offering fiber internet access to an additional 1.3 million households starting next month.
By leveraging both its own and third-party infrastructure, Vodafone will provide fiber services to a total of 23.7 million households, aiming to become the telecom operator offering fiber access to the largest number of homes in Türkiye.
5G, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence
Vodafone Turkey has become a strategic innovation hub within the Vodafone Group. In 2025, the group relocated its test and innovation environment from Spain to Türkiye.
At its open-area test network in Istanbul, next-generation mobile technologies such as Open RAN, Massive MIMO, RedCap and Ambient IoT are being tested as part of preparations for 5G and 6G.
The company reported a more than 30% improvement in Net Promoter Score over the past two years, while customer complaints related to network issues were reduced by half.
Vodafone currently operates more than 100 artificial intelligence models across its systems, supporting functions ranging from customer experience and network management to operations and marketing.
Data Center and 5G Outlook
Highlighting the importance of data centers in the digital transformation accelerated by 5G, Aksoy said Vodafone is planning to open a data center in Izmir in the first quarter of next year, developed in partnership with DAMAC Digital and representing a total investment of $100 million.
“2026 will be our year of 5G,” Aksoy said. “With our global experience, strong local execution, robust infrastructure and customer-focused innovations, we are ready for the 5G era.”
