Vodafone Turkiye announced its 2022-23 fiscal year results

Vodafone Turkiye, while investing ₺4 billion in the last year as of the end of March 31, 2023, increased its service revenues for the 2022-23 fiscal year to ₺25.5 billion, an increase of 47.6% compared to the previous year.

Vodafone Turkiye announced its financial year results covering the period from April 2022 to March 2023. According to the written statement on the subject, Vodafone Turkiye, which has invested ₺4 billion in the last year as of the end of March 31, 2023, increased its service revenues for the 2022-23 fiscal year to ₺25.5 billion, an increase of 47.6 compared to the previous year.

While the number of Vodafone Turkiye’s mobile customers reached 24.8 million by the end of the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the total number of mobile subscribers including M2M (machine-to-machine communication) reached 28.3 million. While the number of postpaid subscribers of the company increased by 1.6 million in the last year to 18.4 million, postpaid subscribers accounted for 74.3% of its total base. Vodafone Turkiye’s growth in fixed broadband also continued. The company gained 32,000 fixed broadband customers this fiscal year compared to the previous year, reaching approximately 1.4 million customers.

Number of ‘digital customers’ reached 17.7 million

According to the statement, Vodafone continues its activities with the aim of providing the best digital experience to its customers, and the number of monthly active customers using digital channels such as Vodafone Yanimda and Online Self Service has reached 17.7 million. The monthly total interaction of customers using Vodafone’s digital channels was 300 million.

Vodafone Turkiye customers’ total mobile data usage rose to 4,081 petabytes in the 2022-23 fiscal year, with an increase of 25% compared to the previous year.

Vodafone Turkiye has also made significant progress towards becoming a digital service company in the same period. The total sales, including Market Yanimda sales, in the online shopping platform, Everything is on My Side, implemented by the company through Vodafone Yanimda mobile application, exceeded 605 million, while the number of visits to the platform approached 106 million. The total number of users using the products of Vodafone’s new generation mobile finance solution, Vodafone Pay, has reached 4.5 million. The number of monthly unique users of TOBi, the company’s personal digital assistant that can perform nearly 1,000 different transactions, increased to 7.6 million and the number of monthly chats to 28 million.

Vodafone Turkiye CEO Engin Aksoy, whose evaluation on the subject was included in the statement, said:

“As Vodafone, we have left 17 years behind in the Turkish market. In this process, as one of Turkiye’s largest international direct investments, we took our place in the growing telecom market of our country. We contributed to the Turkish economy and digitalization by investing a total of ₺4 billion in the 2022-23 fiscal year. We are taking firm steps towards becoming a new generation connectivity and digital services company. We believe that we will continue to grow in line with our targets and continue on our way by getting stronger, despite our high costs due to macroeconomic conditions.

On the other hand, we also attach importance to the impact we create on the environment and society in line with our goal-oriented vision, and we continue our activities in accordance with environmental, social and governance criteria. We will continue our investments with the confidence we have in the future of our country and our industry.”
