Vodafone Turkiye announced the results of the first half of the 2022-2023 fiscal year

According to Vodafone Turkiye’s first half (April-September 2022) results for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the company’s service revenues amounted to ₺11.5 billion. Earnings Before Interest, Depreciation and Taxes (EBITDA) rose to ₺4.2 billion.

According to the statement made by the company, Vodafone Turkiye announced its 2022-2023 fiscal year first half (April-September 2022) results.

While the number of Vodafone Turkiye’s mobile subscribers reached 25.3 million, the total number of mobile subscribers including M2M (Machine-to-Machine Communication) reached 28.4 million. The company increased the number of postpaid subscribers to 17.6 million. Vodafone Turkiye, which continues to work with the aim of providing the best service to its customers in broadband technologies, reached 1.4 million fixed broadband subscribers.

442 million “digital interactions”

Vodafone continues its activities with a focus on digitalization in all channels, and the number of monthly active customers using digital channels such as Vodafone Yanimda and Online Self Service has reached 17.9 million. The monthly total interaction of customers using Vodafone’s digital channels reached 442 million.

In the first 6 months of the fiscal year, Vodafone Turkiye customers’ total mobile data usage rose to 1,966 petabytes with an increase of 25.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Vodafone Turkiye continued its growth in the field of digital services as well. The total sales, including the Supermarket Yanimda sales, in the online shopping platform, Her Sey Yanimda, implemented by the company through Vodafone Yanimda mobile application, exceeded 2.5 million, while the number of visits to the platform approached 80 million. As of the end of the first half of the fiscal year, the total number of users using the products of Vodafone’s new generation mobile finance solution Vodafone Pay reached 4.1 million.

Vodafone Turkiye CEO Engin Aksoy, whose views are included in the statement, stated that they continue their investments with the confidence they have in the future of Turkiye and the sector, and said:

“Recently, the transition to 5G has been on the agenda of our industry. Today, 210 operators in 83 countries have launched 5G services. We hope that Turkiye will join the list of countries embracing 5G as soon as possible. Our expectation is that the tender schedule and details will be clarified and announced as soon as possible, and Turkiye’s transition to 5G will begin. Ensuring a sustainable and predictable investment environment in line with the realities of the market in the transition to 5G will enable the sector to get the maximum benefit from 5G and add value to the economy.
