Investors navigated a dynamic week as Borsa Istanbul and precious metals delivered notable performances, contrasting with a mixed outcome for major currencies. The BIST 100 index, despite a shaky start for equities early in the week, closed with a 1.91% gain, reaching 10,851.78 points after fluctuating between its weekly lows of 10,254.36 and highs of 10,944.72 points.
Gram gold in Kapalıçarşı recorded a significant uptick, rising by 2.12% to 2,504 Turkish lira per gram, while Republic gold coin saw a 1.19% increase, reaching ₺16,393 per gram. Quarter gold, which stood at ₺4,066 last weekend, climbed to ₺4,114.
Dollar and Euro Updates This week, the US dollar depreciated by 0.30%, settling at ₺32.7190, whereas the Euro appreciated by 0.77%, reaching ₺35.3940.
Investment Funds Performance Investment funds showed varied performances this week, with investment funds gaining 0.48% and individual retirement funds rising by 1.18%. Notably, equity funds emerged as the top performers within the investment fund category, posting a 1.08% increase.
Investors remain attentive to these market movements, balancing opportunities across equities, precious metals, and currency markets amidst global economic dynamics.
