Yandex’s new artificial intelligence application, Yandex AI, climbed to first place on the Türkiye App Store just two days after its launch, becoming the most downloaded app on the platform.
According to a company statement, Yandex AI integrates search, chat, web browsing and productivity tools into a single AI-powered interface.
Users have turned to the app for everyday needs such as checking match results, planning day trips in Istanbul, finding late-night restaurants, discovering family-friendly beaches near Antalya, comparing product prices in Turkish lira and enhancing family photos.
Designed as an integrated AI platform for daily life, the application enables users to conduct searches, explore websites, ask questions, make plans and create content—all within a single environment.
Unlike many global AI products, Yandex AI follows a localized approach that prioritizes domestic expectations. The app features content developed with local data, business partners and teams, placing users’ language, culture and daily habits at the center of its experience.

Alexander Popovskiy, CEO of Yandex Search International and General Manager of Yandex Türkiye, said the company chose to launch the newly developed application first in Türkiye.
“It is very important for us that so many users have embraced Yandex AI and added it to their home screens as a new gateway to the internet,” Popovskiy said. “We will continue to develop local use cases and AI agents to further improve users’ daily experiences.”
