Turkiye’s June foreign trade statistics have been announced

Turkiye’s exports decreased by 10.5% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and decreased to $20 billion 904 million, and imports decreased by 17.5% to $26 billion 64 million.

Temporary foreign trade data for June, created in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade, were announced.

Accordingly, exports within the scope of the General Trade System (GTS) decreased by 10.5% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to $20 billion 904 million, while imports decreased by 17.5% to $26 billion 64 million.

The foreign trade deficit decreased by 37.3% in June compared to the same month of the previous year, from $8 billion 236 million to $5 billion 160 million.

While the ratio of exports to imports was 73.9% in June 2022, it rose to 80.2% last month.

In the January-June period, compared to the same period of the previous year, exports decreased by 1.9% to $123 billion 341 million, and imports increased by 4.1% to $184 billion 576 million.

Foreign trade deficit increased by 18.7% in the January-June period and reached $61 billion 235 million.

While the ratio of exports to imports was 70.9% in January-June 2022, it decreased to 66.8% in the same period of this year.

Foreign trade excluding energy and gold

Exports, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, decreased by 10.4% in June from $21 billion 810 million to $19 billion 547 million. In June, imports excluding energy products and non-monetary gold decreased by 10.9% from $22 billion 272 million to $19 billion 846 million.

Foreign trade deficit excluding energy products and non-monetary gold was $299 million in June. Foreign trade volume decreased by 10.6% to $39 billion 393 million. In the said month, the ratio of exports to imports, excluding energy and gold, was 98.5%.
