Automotive industry became the locomotive of exports in Turkiye

The automotive industry was the sector that exported the most last month with $3 billion 172 million.

According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the automotive industry, which achieved exports of $3 billion 172 million 87 thousand last month, was followed by chemicals and products with $2 billion 878 million 850 thousand, and the ready-made clothing and apparel industry with $1 billion 432 million 47 thousand.

In November, the highest export increase compared to the same period of the previous year was in ships, yachts and services with 372%.

Last month, exports of $16 billion 204 million 542 thousand were made in the industrial group, which realizes 70.4% of Turkiye’s total exports, with an increase of 5%.

In the agricultural group, which constitutes 14.5% of total exports, exports amounted to $3 billion 342 million 917 thousand with an increase of 0.8%, and in the mining group, which had a share of 2.1%, exports reached $483 million 272 thousand with a decrease of 4%.

Most exports were made to Germany

While Germany was at the top of the list of countries with the most exports in November with $1 billion 512 million 403 thousand, it was followed by the United Arab Emirates with $1 billion 124 million 219 thousand and the USA with $1 billion 67 million 992 thousand.

The top 3 provinces with the most exports last month were Istanbul with $8 billion 719 million 808 thousand, Kocaeli with $1 billion 654 million 667 thousand, and Bursa with $1 billion 493 million 704 thousand.
