BDR Thermea Group, present in Turkiye with the Baymak and De Dietrich brands, purchased 25% of the shares of Italian G.I. Holding.
BDR Thermea Group, which started its operations in 1969 and acquired Baymak in 2013 and is among the top three companies in Europe in the air conditioning sector, is expanding its portfolio of energy conversion solutions for commercial and industrial customers. BDR Thermea Group strengthens its strategic partnership by purchasing 25% of the shares of G.I. Holding, owner of CLINT, KTK KLIMATECHNIK, NOVAIR and MONTAIR.
BDR Thermea Group, operating with Baymak and De Dietrich, two of the leading brands of the air conditioning industry in Turkiye, will expand the scope of commercial, industrial and multi-household residential heating and cooling solutions with this strategic partnership. In addition, it will blend G.I. Holding’s advanced technology with its own technology and offer it to customers in the markets where it operates. Apart from the strategic partnership, BDR Thermea Group and G.I. Holding will also cooperate in the field of R&D to diversify energy conversion solutions for their customers. After the acquisition, G.I. Holding and its brands will continue to operate under their current brand names. BDR Thermea Group has been offering medium-high capacity heat pumps to customers in Italy, Spain and Portugal under G.I. Holding’s BAXI brand since 2020.
