The Turkish Statistical Institute has released statistics on poultry farming production for the month of January, indicating a significant rise in chicken meat production compared to the same period last year.
According to the data provided, chicken meat production in January amounted to 203,064 tons, marking a 6% increase compared to January of the previous year. Additionally, there was a 1.4% increase in production compared to the previous month.
While chicken egg production experienced a slight decrease of 1% on a monthly basis in January, it witnessed a substantial increase of 6.3% compared to January of the previous year. During this period, a total of 1,837,648 million chicken eggs were produced.
The number of chickens slaughtered in January recorded a yearly increase of 5.9%, totaling 110,657,000.
Furthermore, turkey meat production also saw a significant rise during the same period, increasing by 33.3% to reach 4,845 tons.
These statistics underscore the continuous growth and development in Turkey’s poultry farming sector, contributing to the nation’s agricultural output and ensuring a steady supply of poultry products in the domestic market.
