Companies from 70 countries met at Bursa Textile Show

The 10th Bursa Textile Show Fair, one of the most important meetings of the textile industry in Turkiye and held twice a year, has ended.

According to the statement made by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), the organization, which brought together local and foreign business professionals in Bursa with the participation of nearly 180 companies on September 5-7, under the leadership of BTSO, hosted many innovations with its trend area and inspiring seminars.

The fair, which was attended by visitors from approximately 70 countries and presented the 2023-2024 autumn-winter clothing fabric collections to local and foreign business professionals, was held in Bursa International Fair and Congress Center in 4 halls, in a total area of 10 thousand square meters.

At the brand meeting of the sector, qualified buyers from abroad came together with companies from Bursa at the cooperation table. Within the scope of the work of KFA Fair Organization in partnership with BTSO and Uludag Textile Exporters Association (UTIB), foreign buyers from different geographies of the world, especially from European, African and Middle Eastern countries, held important business meetings with the companies that opened stands at the fair.

The fair also organized a B2B organization within the scope of the UR-GE projects of the Ministry of Commerce. The “heart of the industry” beat at Bursa Textile Show for 3 days, with the fair bringing together Turkish textile manufacturers with buyers from all over the world. More than 7 thousand local and foreign business professionals visited the fair.

Inspiring seminars at the organization also attracted great attention. During the fair, WGSN Mindset Director Kim Mannino, who has significant experience in the fashion industry, gave a seminar on WGSN autumn-winter 2024-2025 fabric trends, AIT artificial intelligence developer Cilem Afacan gave a seminar on digital transformation in the fashion and textile industry, Lenzing Turkiye Business Development Department Manager Ilksen Dedeoglu Demiray gave a seminar on solution suggestions for sustainability in textiles and design registration processes and real estate expert assistant Muhammet Tunca from Turkish Patent Industry gave a seminar.

BTSO Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Ismail Kus, whose views were included in the statement, emphasized that Bursa, which has great experience in the textile industry, continues its strong performance in export markets.

Stating that, as BTSO, more brands in the textile industry should take part in the global league, and that this is possible through the increase in the number of exporters in the sector, Kus said, “The aim of our Bursa Textile Show Fair is to enable our sector representatives to open up to the world. KFA Fairs continues to raise the bar of our fair with the organization experience of our company. Fairs are important for our companies to show themselves to the world. With this fair, we hosted buyers from different geographies of the world in Bursa. “I believe that the business meetings held at the fair will be more reflected in exports in the coming period.”

Industry representative Maes Lena from Belgium also stated that the fair, which she attended for the first time, was very productive for her company.

Stating that she believes that she will make new collaborations with companies in Bursa, Lena stated that she wants to come to the fair next year as well.

Nadezhda Dronova, who comes from Russia, stated that she cooperated with many companies from Turkiye and met new companies thanks to the Bursa Textile Show Fair.

Pointing out that there was a nice atmosphere at the fair, Dronova said, “The energy of the fair is very high. A comprehensive organization has been organized.”

Cairo Chamber of Commerce Ready-made Clothing and Home Textile Committee Chairman Mohammed Elsalam stated that he has attended the Bursa Textile Show Fair many times and said, “Bursa has world-class brands in textile. Bursa Textile Show Fair is a world-class organization. I am pleased to be here.”

Murat Salkim, one of the representatives of the company exhibiting its products at the fair, pointed out that fairs are an opportunity for the company to open up to the world, and pointed out that the quality of this organization increases every year.

Cemil Tunca informed that they had productive business meetings with buyers, especially from European countries and Russia, during the very busy fair. Sait Yilmaz stated that they participate in the Bursa Textile Show Fair with a stand every year and said, “This fair is very useful for the sector due to the presence of manufacturing companies. It is very good that the trend areas, seminars, the size of the halls and the fact that the fair lasts 3 days.

Bursa Textile Show is an organization where all buyers of big brands that maintain the real trend and world fashion come. In this respect, Bursa plays an important role in determining world trends.”

Engin Sarikaya also stated that the fair has undertaken an important mission to open Bursa textile industry to the world and said, “Thanks to this fair, many companies have made their first exports so far. Many companies have strengthened their foreign trade operations with this fair.”

The 11th Bursa Textile Show Fair, the meeting of the textile industry, will be held at Bursa International Fair and Congress Center on 13-15 February 2024.
