The construction cost index increased by 1.94% on a monthly basis and 67.31% on an annual basis in December 2023.
Turkish Statistical Institute announced the construction cost index data for the December 2023 period.
Accordingly, the index increased by 1.94% in December compared to the previous month and by 67.31% compared to the same month of the previous year.
On a monthly basis, the material index increased by 2.05% and the labor index increased by 1.67%. On an annual basis, the material index increased by 54.26% and the labor index increased by 111.83%.
The building construction cost index increased by 2.2% in December 2023 compared to the previous month and by 66.42% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 2.46% and the labor index increased by 1.58%. In addition, the material index increased by 52.72% and the labor index increased by 111.62% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The construction cost index for non-building structures increased by 1.13% in December 2023 compared to the previous month and by 70.28% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to November 2023, the material index increased by 0.83% and the labor index increased by 2%. In addition, the material index increased by 59.18% and the labor index increased by 112.63% compared to the same month of the previous year.
