Exports to Organization of Turkic States countries reached $5.6 billion in 10 months

While Turkiye’s exports to the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) countries increased by 16.3% in the 10 months of the year compared to the same period last year, reaching $5.6 billion, the highest export was to Azerbaijan with $1.8 billion.

The countries of the Organization of Turkic States are becoming an increasingly important center of power with the vision, projects and activities they put forward in the new conjuncture.

Member countries have a key importance in coping with the world’s food and energy crises with their resources, power and vision, and with their geostrategic locations on the world’s most important logistics channels. While countries strengthen their unity, cooperation, solidarity and integration on the basis of partnership, Turkiye continues to make progress in its trade with these countries.

According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) data, exports to the CSA countries consisting of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan reached $5.6 billion.

This figure, which was at $4.8 billion in the same period last year, increased by 16.3% on an annual basis.

During the said period, the highest export among CSA countries was to Azerbaijan with $1.8 billion. In the same period, exports of $1.5 billion were made to Kazakhstan, $1.4 billion to Uzbekistan, and $884.7 million to Kyrgyzstan.

Thus, the highest January-October exports of all time to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were realized.

The highest increase was in Kazakhstan

Exports to all countries within TDT increased in the 10 months of the year compared to the same period last year.

During the said period, an increase in exports of 45% to Kazakhstan, 25.2% to Kyrgyzstan, 7.2% to Uzbekistan and 2.8% to Azerbaijan was recorded.

The highest demand came from the chemical industry

The chemical substances and products sector made the most exports to CSA countries.

The chemical substances and products sector exported $981.6 million in the 10 months of the year. This sector was followed by ready-made clothing and apparel industry with $655 million, ready-made clothing and apparel industry with $617.2 million, electrical and electronics industry with $453.7 million, and air conditioning industry with $344.5 million.

Exports worth $3.3 billion were realized from Istanbul to these countries. With this amount, Istanbul shouldered 58.9% of the exports to TDT countries.
