Foreign Producer Price Index Surges by 62.38% Annually, Up 2.38% Monthly in February

Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-PPI) increased by 2.38% on a monthly basis and 62.38% on an annual basis in February.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced YD-PPI data for February. Accordingly, YD-PPI increased by 2.38% in February compared to the previous month, 7.06% compared to December last year, 62.38% compared to the same month last year and 52.96% compared to 12-month averages.

Looking at the annual changes in the two sectors of the industry, there was an increase of 60.69% in mining and quarrying and 62.41% in manufacturing. Considering the annual changes of the main industrial groups, there was an increase of 53.62% in intermediate goods, 70.6% in durable consumer goods, 67.2% in non-durable consumer goods, 68.64% in energy and 70.3% in capital goods.

Monthly changes in the two sectors of the industry were calculated as 2.2% increase in mining and quarrying and 2.39% increase in manufacturing. In the monthly changes of the main industrial groups, an increase of 2.52% in intermediate goods, 2.62% in durable consumer goods, 1.91% in non-durable consumer goods, 9.99% in energy and 1.28% in capital goods was recorded.
