Turkiye’s Midas Investment App Raises $45 Million in Record Early Stage Funding

Innovative investment application Midas became the financial technology company that received the largest early stage investment in Turkiye, receiving an investment of $45 million from global investors.

Midas, the financial application that offers the opportunity to invest in American stock markets and Borsa Istanbul with low commission rates, has achieved a significant success with the $45 million Series A investment it received from global investors.

This investment was recorded as Turkiye’s largest early stage fintech investment and the 2nd largest early stage investment.

The number of users of Midas, which has become Turkiye’s most used stock market application in a short period of 3 years, has recently exceeded 2.5 million. Midas, which has so far provided the opportunity to invest in American stock exchanges and Borsa Istanbul on a single platform with low commissions, aims to offer its users the opportunity to invest in crypto assets and investment funds in a cost-free and easy way with the new investment of $45 million.

Midas’s record investment of $45 million took place at a critical time for financial stability, when recession was being discussed in the global economy. The trust provided to Midas by this investment, which is very valuable for the sector as it was taken during a difficult period, had a worldwide impact. US-based Nasdaq, the world’s largest technology stock exchange, celebrated Midas on a giant screen in Times Square.

Old and new investors met in a record investment round

Canadian-based Portage Ventures, which stands out as an investor of important companies in the field of financial technologies globally, led the record investment tour of $45 million. The other new investor in the round was IFC, the investment arm of the World Bank. In addition, Midas’ world-famous existing investors Spark Capital, Earlybird Digital East Fund and Revo Capital renewed their trust in Midas by repeating their investments in this round. Prior to this, Midas received an investment of $11 million from Spark Capital, Earlybird Digital East Fund and Revo Capital in 2022.
