Turkiye, which ranks second in world honey production, exported honey to 38 countries, especially the USA, Germany and Spain, in 3 months of the year.
According to Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKIB) data, Turkiye, which ranks second after China in world honey production and 16th in exports, exported 2 thousand 133 tons of honey in the first quarter of the year. A profit of $8 million 187 thousand 58 was made from the foreign sales in question.
Most exports to the USA
The USA ranked first in honey exports with $2 million 477 thousand 57. This country was followed by Germany with $2 million 38 thousand 698 and Spain with $538 thousand 628.
In the first quarter of the year, unlike the same period of 2023, honey was also sold to Canada, Venezuela, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, France, Albania, Nepal, Switzerland and Morocco.
