Karmod Chairman: High housing rents increased the popularity of prefabricated steel houses

Karmod Chairman of the Board Mehmet Cankaya noted that the decrease in housing supply in metropolitan cities and high rental rates increased the tendency to own prefabricated steel houses in locations close to the city.

In the statement made by Karmod, Cankaya emphasized that the citizens see prefabricated steel houses as an important solution to the high rent increase.

Stating that prefabricated houses are especially preferred with their fast production model, Cankaya made the following evaluations:

“High housing rental rates in metropolitan cities have increased the tendency to own prefabricated steel houses in locations close to the city. Our citizens, who have recently come to our sales offices in Istanbul and Antalya, state that they have difficulties in finding a rental house. They also state that the rental price of the houses they find is very high.

Since they know the rapid production of prefabricated steel houses, they come to us to find a practical solution to the problem. They want to have prefabricated houses built around Catalca on the European side of Istanbul, and Pendik, Tuzla and Gebze villages on the Anatolian side, in the areas surrounded by the Northern Marmara highway. In Antalya, the neighborhoods of Aksu, Konyaalti and Dosemealti districts close to the city and Serik and Korkuteli are the regions where those who want to build prefabricated steel houses are concentrated.”

Cankaya stated that the interest in 2+1 residences intensified in the demands and said, “While the demands are mostly focused on solving the rent problem, some of our customers also have a prefabricated house built with the idea of having a second earthquake-safe house close to the city. In both demands, the 2+1 model stands out. 64 and 82 m2 alternatives are among the most purchased. Our 100 m2 house in 3+1 residences attracts attention. In the light of the incoming demands, as a company, we have also started a campaign price application on these models.”

Cankaya said:

“Building a prefabricated house is a great convenience for those who have zoned lands close to the city. We complete the production of the favorite house in an average of one week in our modern facilities. We complete the installation within an average of 3 days with our expert teams by dispatching it to its place after production. This period includes electrical and plumbing applications. After our customer has the interior floor screed and tile applications done, we dispatch our paint teams again. The prefabricated house, whose interior and exterior paintwork is completed in an average of 3 days, is ready for the session. By making pre-planning, our customers can start living in their new prefabricated houses within 20 to 30 days.”
