A 100 million-ton oil shipment agreement was signed between the Russian oil company Rosneft and the Chinese energy company CNPC.
In a written statement from Rosneft, it was stated that a 10-year contract was signed with CNPC for the shipment of Russian oil to China via Kazakhstan.
In the statement, which included the information that the said oil will be processed in refineries in China, “100 million tons of oil will be shipped to China within 10 years within the scope of the agreement.”
Russia’s largest oil company, Rosneft, has shipped a total of 445 million tons of oil to China since 2005.
