Electric vehicle industry met at the fair in Bursa

Electric Vehicles, Charging Technologies Equipment and Hardware Fair (Go Green Turkiye 2023) opened its doors in Bursa.

At the fair organized by Tarsus Fair Organization and No On Fair Organization at Bursa International Fair and Congress Center with the support of the Turkish Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Association (TEHAD), 120 participating brands showcased the innovative products and new technologies of the electric vehicle world in an 8 thousand square meter exhibition area.

At the fair, different electric vehicle models such as automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, golf carts and construction equipment, as well as prominent products of the sector such as smart and fast charging solutions, battery and battery technology management systems, smart grid solutions, certification, test and measurement services, and after-sales maintenance and repair services are exhibited.

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) Board Member Hakan Batmaz said at the opening of the fair that the transition to electric vehicles in the world is rapid.

Explaining that electric vehicles have become the most important dynamics of the new ecosystem, just like the internet, Batmaz said:

“Projects that were shelved due to low range are today becoming much more attractive to consumers with the developing battery technology, increasing lifespan and comfort they offer. Just like the increase in internet usage from the 1990s to the present, the electric vehicle market is also growing exponentially. As electric vehicles dominate the market, the existing sub-industry will disappear. New products and services will replace it. Moreover, the knowledge and skills of those working in the sector will change greatly. Only those who achieve this change will survive in the automotive industry. In the face of this change, it has become an obligation rather than a choice for us to act in cooperation with the public, private sector and universities, to focus on strategic investments and to develop our human resources in this direction.”

TEHAD Chairman Berkan Bayram also noted that such a fair suits “Green Bursa” very well.

Bayram stated that they wish the fair to grow and be held in the coming years and said, “We are rapidly moving towards a green transportation. We see that electrification is increasing rapidly all over the world and the world states are taking very rapid steps at this point and are in a race. Turkiye is also in this race and we are making serious progress. Our country has incredible potential.”

Bursa Deputy Governor Hamdi Bolat, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Fethi Yildiz, Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dundar and sector representatives attended the opening.

The fair will end on November 28.
