Sakarya, one of the leading provinces in Turkiye’s automotive exports, realized exports of $943 million 556 thousand in the first two months of the year.
According to the compilation made by the AA correspondent from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Contributing 2.6% to the country’s exports in the January-February period, Sakarya continues to add strength to the country’s economy with sectors such as automotive, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, chemicals and products, hazelnuts and their products, and steel.
Sakarya, which ranks 7th in the export rankings after Istanbul, Kocaeli, Bursa, Izmir, Ankara and Gaziantep, achieved exports of $943 million 556 thousand in two months.
Sakarya, which increased its exports by 9.2%, which was $863 million 785 thousand in the same period last year, sent products to 118 countries and 9 free zones.
Sakarya, which hosts production facilities such as Toyota, TurkTraktor and Otokar, made the most exports in the automotive field with 86.8%.
Sakarya achieved vehicle exports of $819 million 720 thousand in two months, increasing its sales in this field by 6.8% compared to the same period last year.
The top 5 countries exported from the city in the January-February period were the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Poland and Germany, respectively.
