Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index completed the day at 10,336.50 points with a 0.68% gain in value, achieving the highest daily closing of all time, and broke its highest level record to 10,375.74 points.
While the BIST 100 index increased by 69.41 points compared to the previous closing, the total transaction volume was ₺127.6 billion.
The banking index gained 2.28% and the holding index gained 0.99%.
Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was communication with 2.71%, and the biggest loser was sports with 3.02%.
Meanwhile, Turkiye’s 5-year credit risk premium (CDS) fell below 282 basis points for the first time since February 2021, falling to 281.75 points.
In global equity markets, strong pricing signals that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will start interest rate cuts this year continue to feed the risk appetite.
Analysts noted that tomorrow, domestically, the treasury cash balance will be highlighted, while internationally, statements from Federal Reserve officials, wholesale inventories in the US, and industrial production in Germany will be important. From a technical perspective, they mentioned that the BIST 100 index has support levels at 10,100 and 10,000 points, with resistance levels at 10,400 and 10,500 points.
