The license period of TPAO’s 3 fields has been extended by 2 years

The license periods of 3 fields of Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) in Kirklareli, Tekirdag, Diyarbakir, Batman and Siirt were extended by 2 years.

The decisions of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources regarding oil rights were published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, TPAO’s oil exploration license for 3 fields in Kirklareli, Tekirdag, Diyarbakir, Batman and Siirt with a surface area of 13 thousand 330 hectares, 21 thousand 997 hectares and 18 thousand 196 hectares, respectively, was extended for 2 years.

It was decided to extend the license period of the field in Kirklareli and Tekirdag and the field in Diyarbakir until September 23, 2025, in order to determine the hydrocarbon potential of the region and bring it into the country’s economy.

The license period for the field in Batman and Siirt was extended until November 20, 2025, in order to enable the commercial evaluation of the discovery in the area where crude oil was discovered, to allow the development of the field, and to reveal the hydrocarbon potential of the region and bring it to the country’s economy.
