USD to TRY? EUR to TRY? Latest Dollar Exchange Rates and Euro Exchange Rates in Interbank Market…

Exchange rates fluctuated on the last business day of the week.

Throughout the day, USD/TRY tested the 33 band, later falling by 0.16% to 32.79. Meanwhile, EUR/TRY found buyers at 35.13, marking a 0.29% decrease.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) removed Turkiye from the gray list after 3 years. Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek shared a “We did it” message on his X account following the decision.

Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz stated that the decision will strengthen investor confidence and accelerate international capital inflows.

The World Bank approved $600 million in financing to support Turkiye against drought.

Electricity prices have increased, with residential subscribers facing a 38% hike. The new tariff will take effect from July 1.

Two new decisions by the Central Bank were published in the Official Gazette. The CBRT ended mandatory reserve requirements based on leverage ratios.

The other decision concerns commercial loans, allowing banks to charge early repayment fees.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) kept its policy rate unchanged at 50% for the third time, in line with expectations. The CBRT maintained its statement that inflation will be anchored in the second half of the year.
