It was decided to apply a tariff quota in compressor imports.
The Presidential Decision on the Implementation of Tariff Quotas in the Imports of Some Industrial Products was published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the tariff quota for isobutane was 49,308 for the hermetic piston cooling compressor, 98 thousand 935 for the hermetic piston cooling compressor for isobutane as a refrigerant, and 500 thousand for the rotary type compressor.
Customs duty will not be charged for imports to be made within the framework of the tariff quota.
An import license will be issued by the Ministry of Commerce for the imports to be made within the scope of the decision.
It will come into effect starting from 1 July
In this context, the “Communiqué on Import Quota and Tariff Quota Administration” of the Ministry of Commerce was published in the Official Gazette.
With the Communiqué, the distribution method, application and usage procedures and principles of the said tariff quotas were determined.
These regulations will come into effect from 1 July.
