High Expectations from the European Market in Tourism

Kaan Kavaloğlu, the President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association (AKTOB), expressed high expectations for more tourists from European countries this year.

In a statement, Kavaloğlu revealed that significant discussions regarding the tourism potential of Antalya and Turkey took place at a tourism fair held in the Netherlands last month.

Having met with Dutch tour operators and evaluated expectations for the year, Kavaloğlu stated, “Our expectations are high for the Dutch market. We learned from representatives of tour operators and airline companies, especially, that early reservation indicators are on the rise. The fair has strengthened our expectations for the year 2024. We anticipate a stable upward trend from all European countries and, particularly, the Netherlands, unless there is an extraordinary development.”

Kavaloğlu emphasized the positive outlook from the Netherlands and highlighted the ongoing discussions with tour operators and airline representatives as a positive sign. He concluded, “If there is no extraordinary development, we foresee a stable growth, continuing the positive trend from all European countries, especially the Netherlands.”
